English Civil War

The first English Civil War, between the Parliamentarians and Royalists, took place at Edgehill on 22 August 1642. . Few people could have predicted that the first two civil wars would have ended with the public execution of Charles I.

  1. England did actually have Civil wars prior to this (check out Matilda and Stephen, for one).
    Also Edgehill was only one battle within this War.
    Unsure what you mean by "the first two civil wars" in your last sentence.
